Each year, The Land Con begins with a special evening. A tradition that brings everyone together as the weekend begins.

In the U.S., this experience is known as The Candlelight Society.

An intimate and immersive opening night gathering, The Candlelight Society is designed to feel as though it exists just outside of time — a moment to arrive, connect, and step fully into the weekend ahead.

Guests are welcomed into a beautifully curated evening shaped by candlelight, conversation, and shared experience. A glass of champagne marks the beginning of the night, followed by an elegant candlelit dinner, time spent with the cast, and live music and entertainment woven thoughtfully throughout the evening.

The setting itself remains part of the experience. A secret, carefully chosen location revealed only to those in attendance.

Every detail is designed to feel intentional, atmospheric, and memorable. It is a night many attendees come to cherish as one of the most meaningful moments of the weekend.

Due to the nature of the experience, availability is extremely limited each year.
